Quality Assurance
All of our Perfusionists are accredited and registered with College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists, a UK charitable organisation that is responsible for setting and monitoring perfusion standards for both individuals and institutions across the UK.
The Society of Clinical Perfusionists works alongside the College of Clinical Perfusionists and focuses upon the advancement of perfusion technology. Our staff regularly attend CPD lectures hosted by the society and other sources in order to keep up to date with the latest developments in perfusion practice.
As part of this perfusionists are monitored on a three-yearly basis by the College of Perfusionists. Individuals are required to attend lectures, teaching, and conducting Cardiopulmonary Bypass (CPB) cases and to achieve re-accreditation, a minimum of 15 academic points and 40 cases with CPB are required.
